The proprietor of Diving Xcalak, Luis Batun, is a third-generation native of Xcalak and he has intimate knowledge of the reef. Luis has been a scuba dive master for more than 25 years and customizes each dive to accommodate the desires and skill levels of his clients. This means you see and experience what you want, when you want. This is what sets Diving Xcalak apart from its competition – we are not a typical dive shop, we offer private scuba diving and other water experiences at an affordable price.

The perfect place to dive and snorkel
While there are many beautiful places to scuba dive in Mexico, Xcalak is the undiscovered gem of the Caribbean. Diving Xcalak is located on the shores of the Xcalak Reef National Marine Park, a vibrant reef system with many beautiful dive sites.

What makes scuba diving in Xcalak so unique is that it is undiscovered. In the sleepy fishing village of Xcalak, you will not experience troves of tourists or be inundated with tacky trinkets and loud bars. Xcalak lies along a beautiful stretch of coastline located just six hours South of Cancun and has a population of approximately 500.

A relaxed, custom, low-cost experience
Diving Xcalak prides itself in offering a relaxed, custom, low-cost experience. What you will not find here are large boats with dozens of divers led by young, inexperienced, transient dive masters with limited knowledge of the dive sites and reef system in Xcalak.
